What or who inspired you to become a teacher?
My mother - the day I was born she told me I was going to go to college and become a teacher.
How are things different for you now, compared to when you first started teaching?
Things are busier now. More students need assistance.
What advice would you give to a new or struggling teacher?
Smile, this too shall pass, keep your sense of humor.
My best day in the classroom was when…
My first day as a teacher and every day from then on.
The best compliment I've ever received from a student or parent was...
"You made a difference in my life."
What's your favorite part of the school year?
The whole year.
What is your one must-have item for the classroom?
A sense of acceptance of each other.
What do you eat for breakfast of school days?
Yogurt, oatmeal and fruit all mixed together.
What movie or TV show do you secretly love?
"Monsters Inc."
